Oliver SchliemannKant’s Critique of Pure Reason culminates in an explanation of the possibility of experience by way of a system of twelve principles of the pure understanding. The present work reconstructs the first set of these principles, the axioms of intuition, through a careful reading of the text with particular attention paid to how these axioms fit into Kant’s overall system. The author explains how these principles are fundamental for the possibility of mathematics and experience.
